Good Afternoon Buckeye Families,

A majority of the students in our nation, across our state, and in Gilmer ISD have access to the internet, online gaming platforms, social media platforms, and the use of artificial intelligence. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, recently hosted a webinar on artificial intelligence and how to protect your child from on-line predators who are using AI, online gaming, and social media platforms to gain access to your student.  

Please see the attached 2023 Public Service Announcement from the FBI on best practices and recommendations on how parents can protect their children from becoming a victim to online predators. Ensuring the safety of our students is a major priority in Gilmer ISD.  Thank you for your help as we work together to protect our students from online dangers.
