Gilmer, TX – March 23, 2026

Gilmer Independent School District has been made aware of an incident involving an employee.

Upon learning of the situation, district administrators acted immediately. The employee was removed from campus, and their employment with the district has been terminated. The matter has been reported to local law enforcement to investigate the matter.  Additional information is not available since this is a personnel matter and is currently under investigation..

Our intent is to inform the public, not necessarily to alarm or upset. At no time was any student in danger. The safety, dignity, and privacy of our students are our highest priorities, and we are taking this matter extremely seriously.
